Christmas shop at Nosara’s Holiday Art Fair on Dec. 14
More than 35 talented international and national artists will be selling handmade art and products in Playa Guiones at the third annual Holiday Art Fair on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014. Hosted by the Nosara Artisans, the event will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pacifico Azul Restaurant in Playa Guiones.
You can Christmas shop for creative gifts such as handmade bikinis and beachwear, unique pottery, glass art, fabric art, jewelry, painting, photography, carved wood art, furniture, lamps and more. Artists make everything by hand, and a lot of the artwork comes from natural materials found in Nosara and its beaches.
Local Nosara community organizations will be at the art fair to educate and fundraise for their important causes – Costas Verdes, Nosara Animal Care and Nosara Wildlife Sanctuary. Kids can have their faces painted, with all proceeds to benefit the Nosara summer art camp for kids called “Escuelita Verano”.
Nosara Artisans was founded in October 2012 to give local artists a place to sell their wares during the holiday and summer season. Organized by ceramic artists Kristen Brousseau and Emma Kinsey, it is a non-profit collective open to everyone living in the community. More Nosara Artisan art fairs will be held during the Costa Rica summer season at the same place and time on January 18, February 8, March 15, and April 4.

Getting to Nosara: Nosara is best reached by domestic flight from either the San Jose International Airport or the Liberia International Airport; from the Nosara airport it is a 10-minute drive to Playa Guiones.
