Policies

In Hotel L'acqua Viva, we have defined policies for both environmental and social issues because we believe that it is healthy to frame our operation within clear rules.

1 - Environmental Policies:

1.1 - The operation of Hotel L'acqua Viva should effectively, constructively and integrally contribute to the generation of economic benefits for the entire organization (partners and collaborators), while protecting the environment and respecting the culture, characteristics and customs of Costa Rica.

1.2 - Sustainability is central to the overall operation of Hotel L'acqua Viva, and is an inherent commitment to the services we offer.

1.3 - The training of our employees always favors clear principles and a sense of environmental responsibility, which then must be reflected in their work performance.

1.4 - Saving water and energy and recycling are fundamental pillars for the fulfillment of our commitments to sustainability. In this sense, Hotel L'acqua Viva is committed to:

  • Use energy rationally through practices aimed at reducing electrical consumption.
     
  • Promote among our hotel guests our commitment to programs that reduce electrical consumption.
     
  • Avoid waste and pollution of water resources, to contribute to their conservation.
  • Promote among our hotel guests our commitment to programs that efficiently use water resources and do not pollute.
     
  • Perform proper management of waste through practices of reduction, reuse and recycling.

1.5 - As part of our environmental management, Hotel L'acqua Viva is committed to:

  • Contribute to the conservation of the country's forest resources.
     
  • Contribute to the reduction of air pollution.
     
  • Comply with national environmental legislation, covering areas such as discharge and reuse of wastewater, disposal of hazardous wastes and the use of agrochemicals, etc.
     
  • Ensure hygiene and safety conditions suitable for the health of our community in general

1.6 - Hotel L'acqua Viva serves the needs of non-smokers and persons who smoke, for which it has established specific smoking areas.

2 – Social Policies:

2.1 - Hotel L'acqua Viva strongly rejects any kind of tourist activity that violates good manners or which endangers the physical and moral integrity of its customers and partners, as well as social deterioration.

2.2 - Hotel L'acqua Viva adheres comprehensively to the Code of Conduct against sexual and commercial exploitation of children and adolescents; we reaffirm our commitment to defend vehemently their physical, emotional and psychological integrity before any indication of aggression, especially commercial sexual exploitation of children.

1.3 - The training of our employees always favors clear principles and a sense of environmental responsibility, which then must be reflected in their work performance.

2.3 - In accordance with current legislation, we have defined a policy against sexual harassment at work, to which compliance is mandatory.

2.4 - We encourage tourism development based on ethics, quality and sustainability. Therefore, Hotel L'acqua Viva uses its influence in the tourism, political and business sectors toward equal benefits for the company, its partners, the environment and the community.

2.5 - All international and national promotion of Hotel L'acqua Viva is consistent with plans that include the involvement of the area community, ensuring mutual benefits in terms of image, and in agreement with the vision and tourist objectives of the entire region.
